Fire Retardant Foam

Flame retardant foam is produced by adding special FR additives to achieve effective fire resistance. JFC has two levels of flame retardant certification mainly, including the California Technical Bulletin 117 (CA117) in USA and the BS5852 & BS7177 standards in the UK, These FR foam could offer ignition prevention, smoke suppression and low-flammability characteristics. It is good for apply in furniture, bedding, transportation, and industrial fire-resistant cushioning materials.

Foam Description

Fire-Retardant Foam is manufactured using a specialized flame-retardant formulation and complies with major international standards such as UK BS 5852 and California CA 117 (USA). It offers excellent flame-retardant performance and can self-extinguish rapidly during combustion, effectively inhibiting the spread of fire and significantly enhancing product safety. The foam maintains good elasticity and comfort, balancing user comfort with safety requirements.

Fire-Protection Mechanism
An additive-type flame-retardant formulation is used, allowing the flame-retardant components to be evenly distributed throughout the foam structure, providing long-term fire-retardant stability. When exposed to high temperatures, a char layer forms on the surface, suppressing flame spread and reducing the generation of smoke and toxic gases.
